We provide culturally relevant counseling and wellness education services to underserved communities of color. Our goal is to improve the overall mental, emotional, and physical health through a customized approach. Our counseling approach combines lived experience with academic knowledge and focuses on using language that connects to the people, instead of the typical psychology jargon. We aim to empower individuals to embark on a self-directed journey towards inner strength and tranquility.
The Need for Culturally Responsive Counseling
There are currently 10 conventional counseling theories, all of which are written by individuals who rely on traditional approaches that lack the cultural nuance and relevance to connect to communities of color. Our mission is to develop culturally relevant frameworks for counseling theories specifically designed for communities of color.

Certificate Programs
Youth Peer Mentor and Student Advocate Certificate (for students only)
The Youth Peer Mentor and Student Advocate Certificate Program is designed to foster a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented community where individuals can develop and strengthen their sense of connectedness, acknowledge their unique qualities and experiences, build resilience, and discover their emergence as empowered and capable individuals. This 16-week program will provide a platform for participants to connect, learn, and grow together through peer mentorship.
Youth Mentoring and Counseling Certificate (for adults only)
The Youth Mentoring and Counseling Certificate Program is designed for providers or community members seeking to support the emotional growth and healing of youth. The program entails a comprehensive 14-module training. Successful completion of the program leads to the award of a certificate, accompanied by two months of supervision. This program equips participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate social-emotional development and foster healing in young individuals.
